About

thelookclose Christina G. Smith started her artistic career in 1997 at the age of 13. She began by taking lessons once a week from then local published artist, Lee Hammond, in Kansas City. At a young age she was taking commissions from local friends and family, but now works with clients all over the world. She is available for all kinds of collaborations no matter where you are living. Drop her a line, don’t be afraid. But if it’s a job you expect her to work for free on you better be offering her something great in return.

Christina enjoys many forms of art from acrylic & oil painting, silversmithing, sculpture, watercolors, colored pencils, pottery, photography, web-design, and most everything she can get her hands on.

In August 2007 she moved to France and got married to, Thomas Maillioux. She moved to a country where she did not speak the language and was no Francophile in advance. Along with her art she has a part-time job at a bake shop in Paris, France called Sugar Daze. It’s run by a fellow American in Paris.
